Imre graduated from high school in Nyiregyháza. He learned to be a tailor. Prior to the German occupation, he moved to Budapest. Imre obtained forged documents and joined “Kiska”, an auxiliary unit within the Hungarian army. He saved Jews from the ghetto. Imre was an expert in obtaining documents from the office of the Pope’s representative. He once gave his comrades in the movement, who operated in the underground, sixty such documents. After the liberation Imre worked with the B’riha.
